From Amelanchier to Viburnum, there are many great native plants you can use to enhance your garden. In this illustrated lecture and walk through the Morris, you will learn about many good plant choices, the conditions they require to grow, and how to successfully work them into your landscape. Pam Morris Olshefski, Plant Record and Living Collections Manager at Morris Arboretum & Gardens, will focus on woody plants that provide seasonal interest with attractive flowers, fruit, fall color, and bark texture. She will discuss good native plant cultivars that have been bred for appealing garden traits, such as compact size, abundant flowers, and fruit.
This class will include a walk through the Morris, looking at native plants and considering how to use them in the landscape.
Event cost: Morris Arboretum & Gardens Members: $25 | Non-members: $30
