A Pō Ē: Nature and Knowing through Hawaiian String Figures

In continued celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, join GIC Associate Director Mary Ann Baricuatro in the GIC’s Lenape Garden for a workshop exploring the art of hei, traditional Hawaiian string figures.

We’ll discuss environmental kinship and wellness as we learn the chant and hei, A Pō Ē, which honors the changing of the seasons, the cyclic nature of our world, and our deep connection to the environment around us. Registration is required.
