Penn Climate manages the annual Climate Week at Penn, a campus-wide gathering for all of the Penn community interested in climate change research and environmental action. This year, Climate Week will be held October 5-9, 2026, and will center on the theme of Empowerment and Action.
Students who would like to get involved “on the ground” with Climate Week this fall may apply to join the Climate Week Crew. Open to both undergraduate and graduate students, selected participants will be paid for up to 8 hours of work during Climate Week, helping the Penn Climate Team with tasks such as:
Taking photos
Crafting and sharing social media posts
Drawing attention to events and inviting people to participate from Locust Walk
Assisting with event setup and breakdown (chairs, tables, signage, etc.)
Moving supplies around campus (boxes, tripods, posters, etc.)
Additional work as needed to promote and assist in the week’s events
Members of the Climate Week Crew will be required to sign up for several 2-hour shifts for onsite work during the week and also attend at least two Climate Week events where they will take photos and write a summary of the event.
Interested students should submit a resume and cover letter that includes a brief statement (no more than 250 words) about why they want to get involved with Climate Week 2026 to climate@upenn.edu, which is currently accepting submissions.
